According to San Diego Convention Center’s official web page, the next Comic-Con will take place between 21st and 24th of July 2016, and there will be tickets available for 130,000 people. Although there are only four nights planned for this big event, there will still be time for Preview Night, so fans won’t be disappointed. However, these are only approximate dates and pieces of information, and they could change until the actual event, so don’t make any hotel reservations yet, until it’s all set in stone. As always, Comic-Con will be held in San Diego, but after 2018 it will probably take place somewhere else, as its contract with this city is about to expire in 2016.
Although Comic-Con is 7 months away, it’s always fun to plan ahead. Some huge fans have even made a risk of reserving their spot at a hotel, before there are even tickets available for the event, or exact dates without a possibility of change. We don’t recommend doing that, but the excitement is understandable.
It is still too early to say what is expected to be seen on preview night, but there is a chance BrainDead will be screened.
BrainDead is a thriller TV series which is expected to become the next big thing. It is being created by Robert King and Michelle King, and according to CBS’ estimation, it will premiere in Summer 2016. Anyway, last year there were some pretty amazing TV series screened at Comic-Con, including The Simpsons, Once Upon a Time, Hannibal, The Big Bang Theory, and such, so there’s actually no need to worry about this Comic-Con not being great as well. These people really know what they are doing, and they always provide fans with the best experiences.
When it comes to movies, again, there have been no confirmation, but some movies are expected to be seen, such as Doctor Strange, Suicide Squad (which will probably premiere at Comic- Con 2016), Gambit, Star Wars: Rogue One, Guardians of the Galaxy 2, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, and several others. Also, Bruce Timm will maybe present his animated feature of The Killing Joke, a movie many fans are eager to see, particularly because Mark Hamill will again give his voice to the Joker. There are even assumptions that Bourne 5 will be screened at Comic- Con 2016, but again, these are only speculations, and more information will be available only when the line-up for the event is published.
Judging by the previous Comic-Cons, there will also be some great parties. At Comic-Con 2013, the network sponsored the Bates Motel Playboy party, which was more than interesting for many. Also, MTV could participate in Comic-Con 2016 again, which would mean there would also be MTV Fandom Awards and Fan fest. All in all, whatever parties Comic-Con features next year, you will not be disappointed. Realistically looking, were you ever? Didn’t think so.
Many fans are hoping that Nerd HQ will be come to Comic- Con 2016 and enrich their experience. Some say that they would feel as if they never attended if they didn’t see Nerd HQ.
In 2015, the Comic-Con campus was effectively systematized and this time the large crowds were spred out. Although there were around the same number of people in 2015 as there were in 2014, this year it felt like there were fewer people and more space to move. According to numerous fans, if the Comic-Con 2016 offers as much as it offered this year, all the tickets will again be purchased and more than a hundred thousand fans will gather to enjoy this once-a-year opportunity to let themselves enjoy what they’ve been waiting for a long time. Of course, Comic-Cons are always brings something new, and each new experience is appreciated by the faithful fans who come back each year.
